Same, I used C-a for a while until I found out its default mapping is jumping to the beginning of the line so I rebound tmux prefix to C-Space. Now my only problem is on a few servers where I haven't copied my dotfiles.

This is a great app but it highlights just how insane it is to use apple products where you have to pay a subscription fee for the 3rd party software that provides the basic OS functionality. With KDE Plasma I don't feel the need to install any additional plugins - everything is built-in, coherent and configurable to your liking.

That's a strange argument. Open source software including Plasma Mobile is developed by volunteers who choose to spend their time on a given project. I am quite happy with the pace of Plasma Desktop and the progress made in the past 3 years on its 6th iteration.

I agree. Linux has a wealth of hardware drivers and the time would be better spent on a translation layer or do it via running a VM or even using LLMs to port the drivers over to FreeBSD en masse. That way BSD team can focus on their unique strengths.

I remember I was trying to learn GUI programming in late 2000s. I took an attempt at MFC but no matter how hard I tried, it just didn't make any sense. Then I found out about Qt 4 and it felt like magic immediately. I ended up working as a professional Qt software developer for 3 years.
Fast forward to now, and KDE Plasma is state of the art Linux desktop that I've been daily driving for years. It's also built on Qt.

> In a "decompilation" approach the game logic is converted (using a decompiler, like IDA or Ghidra's) back into something which resembles the original source code to the game itself, and the source code is usually hand analyzed, marked up, rewritten, and then ported across platforms
There definitely is a lot of scope to apply LLMs here

I've been running Plasma Desktop for years and had to put up with graphical glitches in its X11 iteration. I switched to Wayland to years ago when Plasma 6 was released and all the glitches were gone. Additionally, overall snappiness and responsiveness of the desktop and window management improved markedly, I felt like a got a new computer. Granted, I had to acquire an AMD GPU for this transition but it was well worth it.
