no. this role is for running ads campaigns at scale (on google, meta, etc) to grow openai users. its at a large enough scale it's called "platform" but it would be internal use only.
> Your role will include projects such as developing campaign management tools, integrating with major ad platforms, building real-time attribution and reporting pipelines, and enabling experimentation frameworks to optimize our objectives.

that is actually surprising. surely they use location at some point in the ID process. its possible they have a secondary location based model to do sorting/ranking after the initial detection?
Merlin's bird detection system is almost non-functional without location.

you're right that in any funding round (private or public ipo) there is dilution. your ownership in % will go down.
however no company will be able to predict future dilution so this is not really something they can tell you with confidence.
the only thing you can do is gauge current state of the company (funding, readiness for ipo) and try to estimate future dilution but even this is non trivial for early stage companies.

i hope it's not surprising to you that some homeowners do pay to upgrade their place so it's actually maintained over time. if you don't do that obviously things will get worse, not better in 60+ years! I'm not sure why you think this is a SF phenomenon.
so no, not all SFH in SF are shit.

the answer is no probably not. VC for tech startup exist because of economy of scale of tech and is ruled by power law. one winner that returns 100x is much more important than a handful that return 2x.
to be clear most VC funds are not actually able to do that.

here are the basics
https://www.investopedia.com/investing/how-interest-rates-af...
I think the dynamic for private (VC) money and public markets are different
VC money will dry up as endowments look to shift more money into safer asset class when interest rate is high
public markets company valuation models change with interest rates changing. when rate is close to 0 investors are willing to buy asset with a very long term view for expected future profit (say 10 years). when rates go up that time frame shortens since opportunity cost of buying that stock today is now much higher.

think about what the PM of antispam at Gmail is optimizing for. their job is to provide defense against adversarial spammers.
anything trivial for you to do to get into someone's inbox can also be trivial for spammers. they'll have a bot that do it 1000 times a day. Gmail can't stop spam altogether so the general strategy is to try to make it as painful and expensive as possible to deter the marginal spammers.
any sort of spam at scale is easier to detect. that's why most marginal spam happens with new IP. similar issue in the past with hacked Gmail accounts. this is where google is cracking down harder and why you're running into these issues.
