am I correct that you basically cannot comply with HIPAA in this case, even if you had a BAA with Anthropic?
I'm new to the whole governance / compliance thing and wondering like even if you use a HIPAA compliant tool like Bedrock to serve up your inference in your VPC, this sort of puts you in a dangerous legal spot?
it seems like the data retention, even if it's metadata and they promise not to log the actual full logline, messes you up here since it's leaving your autonomous system
Also what about things like GH copilot using an anthropic model as the backend? This feels like a mess with chained data agreements

genuinely curious what your take is here, I have been in security engineering for 5-6 years, then most recently a startup that's using rails. It honestly does not seem that bad even though we're using an ember frontend.
What is your thought process here? Is it the notion that you can ship as fast as possible, and that creates a shitty environment given that you're a hamster on a wheel getting measured by output since "you should be able to ship fast?"

I don't think the incentive of this is to destroy the human joy of the game or create a static circus for you to explore. Something like this might give us the ability to focus more on our friends and less on assessing whether they can do what they're saying. As a DM, I get your concern, but I think tech like this could really make sessions more immersive.
I personally love to focus on combat and sometimes miss the nuance of storytelling. Something like this could help nudge you to remember to cater to your players that also enjoy RPing more than picking their spells during a fight
Would you like this more if it gave you the ability to type as input and see the response so that you could use it as a DM tool?

pretty new to this but I thought that irb was a dependency of rails, so when they say "not a gem," it's still a dependency somewhere...
using `binding.b` via the `debug` gem appears to be the path that most of the industry is going since I think it has 100% of these capabilities and more. I might be wrong. Curious what others think
