In Germany that's forbidden, you'd have to pay them.

But you can be placed in a room/office with no windows (not the OS), a computer without internet access and nothing to do. How long can you go on like that?

The law, sadly, can't forbid asshole employers.

I think those papers mostly show that parts of the microplastics literature were overstated or methodologically weak, not that microplastics are harmless.

The PNAS paper is a pretty good critique of contamination/baseline issues, and I agree some of the “microplastics are causing young-onset cancer” claims got ahead of the evidence.

But the broader concern still exists: people are clearly exposed constantly, particles are being found in human tissue, and there are plausible mechanisms for harm. So no, there is not "much less to worry".

I just spent the better half of an hour to debug unbound and the pihole because I thought it's a me problem...

Good news though, if you add domain-insecure: "de" to your unbound config everything works fine

I'm not sure about other countries in europe but in Germany your employer can and will try to prevent you from starting a company. Some are more lenient and don't care if it's another industry, but same? Usually that is not going to happen.

So the cheapest and safest way to open a company is closed to a lot of employees, even with UBI.

It is up to the municipality to tell them where to host it. If you go there with no demands or restrictions they will take the easiest route and setting up a new mailserver is just really simple with exchange online. Additionally every license sold is a bit of MRR. So the incentive is quite high to sell m365. But it is up to the client and if the msp pushes too hard I'd go and look for another msp to be honest.

What local nerds? Usually you go to a so called "Systemhaus" for that. Like a contractor or I think you'd call it managed service provider. Some municipalities (or companies for that matter) get everything done by them, some have some admins but need some support in more complex matters. Completely professional and not some side gig, lol...

An EV is the superior vehicle in every aspect. Cheap fuel, reliable, nice to drive, less maintenance costs, less noisy and yes, no local emissions.

As a Swiss all I can say is that this is not how that would work out. Some of the most polarising statements I have ever heard come from Swiss politicians.

Although it is a more recent development since a certain billionaire (what else) took up politics as a side hustle.
