Totally agree - most of these co's that get funded are pointless. FWIW, the general math here is that you'd spend < 2-3mm developing new git and most of the money goes into distribution.
We've strayed really far from where technical innovation began

UARS = upper airway resistance syndrome
RERA = respiratory effort related arousal
UARS is effectively a "cousin" of sleep apnea which tends to occur in younger and fitter people - it is hard to diagnose but quite debilitating. RERAs are the primary sleep disturbing event for folks with UARS. Similar to how apneas are the primary event for folks with sleep apnea.

A somewhat niche but good book on sleep-disordered breathing is "Life Saving Sleep" by Barry Krakow [1].
If you have a ton of sleep problems, you should probably catalog them, and try seeing a somnologist or getting an in-lab sleep study.
[1](https://www.amazon.com/Life-Saving-Sleep-Horizons-Treatment/...)

Unfortunately, there is no textbook on something very particular like "The CPAP Market in the US" - which is what I want to understand currently.
Also textbooks frequently miss out on the level of understanding part of this. There is no textbook that explains quantum mechanics for smart 15 year olds.

Looking for something where I can give it a topic or area of interest, and it does an extremely comprehensive deep dive.
The ideal version would be that I can give it a topic and a level of understanding (ELI5, ELI10, ELI25) and it would summarize and organize all human knowledge on that topic and provide it to me. I would pay $X00 for this and would wait even 24-48 hours...
