this is a pretty annoying problem -- i just intentionally solve it by asking claude to always use the right build command after each batch of modifications, etc

I run Ceph in my k8s cluster (using rook) -- 4 nodes, 2x 4TB enterprise SSDs on each node. It's been pretty bulletproof; took some time to set up and familiarize with Ceph but now it's simple to operate.
Claude Code is amazing at managing Ceph, restoring, fixing CRUSH maps, etc. It's got all the Ceph motions down to a tee.
With the tools at our disposal nowadays, saying "I wouldn't dare deploy it without a deep understanding of the source code" seems like an overexaggeration!
I encourage folks to try out Ceph if it supports their usecase.

This is an interesting question; not to be too naive, but are there examples in the wild about this scenario? First I’ve heard of private APIs for something open source like this and my interest is piqued!

Have been using Atuin for a couple (few?) years, it's great! How many others are using it too? I'm curious what everyone's tool of choice for shell search is!
https://github.com/atuinsh/atuin

Yeah it's legit. Never bothered to create a HN account but caught wind of this post and had to come drop some good words about the team. I use it (for free) and have no skin in the game. Just want to let folks know of a free tier that is literally 10x better than the next best thing!

The Oodle team is great! If you're looking for a cheap metrics (prom/otel) store, check it out!
Not to mention they offer the best metrics free tier in the entire space... Let me know if you know of a better free tier ;)
Unfortunately, Grafana Cloud only offers 10k active series, which is really easy to surpass even in a homelab; meanwhile, Oodle offers 100k.
