I'm not so sure that things would settle down if trump was out of the picture. Trump is obviously an active force, but even if he is gone, the forces that led to his rise will still exist. In other words, even without trump there is a strong anti-elite, anti-expert, nationalist/isolationist movement in the US. Waiting for trump to die or go away is foolish.

Classic bad-faith troll response. You refuse to openly state your position, because you know deep down that it is despicable and indefensible.

I am against the surveillance state, but I am not weak, gullible, or lazy enough to believe that it is somehow the result of women's suffrage. The two are not related, and your inability to untangle them shows that misogyny is more important to you than freedom.

The all-products pack is increasing by ~10$ for the first year. Intellij ultimate by around 30$, dotUltimate by 50$. Most other IDEs went up by 10$. The cheapest IDE is now rustrover, which saw no increase.

a lot of people defended Trump after jan 6 by saying he offered the national guard but was turned down by the mayor. Now he is suddenly able to deploy the national guard regardless of the mayor's input.
