Im putting together a foraging map which correlates wood, heat, temp, and whatnot to tell me where various edible fungi fruit. It is mostly working so far, has bike trails and we tested it at least once.
The most challenging part was getting MVTs to fly but it is very fast already even in mobile. The fun part is tarring the solver solves correctly :) no public version though but I can upload a screen grab somewhere should anyone be interested.

I can well see and disambiguate what it is and is not what QGIs aims to be. Nothing is close to QGIS in terms of features, it deploys 1gig of open tech. The only trouble is the design of the app haven’t changed much in 20 years, while data sizes did 10x at least on every level. It struggles to breath u der heavy load…

Depending on which vinyl you're talking about. I care very little about big names signed to big corpo - they can do whatever they want to their vinyl. There are plenty of indi/underground artists releasing both on vinyl and tampe, who succumbed to nothing, but are alive and well actually. Check bandcamp more often for clues, should you disagree.

Well, nice try, but sadly maintaining up to date GIS data takes much more than a UI. The only thing that gets close to such datalake is perhaps OSM and ESRI World Atlas... but nothing is close to huggingface or github as positioning. Besides, data is a live thing, and all such cartography very quickly dates and gets irrelevant or incorrect.

One thing I can tell you is you are either favored by Anthropic, or your version of the CLI does not exhaust limits, or there's some major bug, as two people around me (myself included) claim it took half an hour to hit the ceiling. Which makes it practically unusable, where the same workflow a day ago produced a good 5-6 hours of workload with several agents.

Sumo produces plausible cheesy stuff that is otherwise sonically awful, ringing alongside the full spectrum due to how it works. As a musician I would not use it - I like to keep some creative power. Some people use it around me for samples… and then their tracks ring. But it works for them as they be advertising producers. Mind u - I’ve used paid version and I know one or two about music production.
As an information architect I find it amazing it works so good, but is useless to me except being a great think to play with… a toy really. I’m much more fascinated by Strudel.cc and LLMs do a great job to educate me into it, myself being mostly an autodidact.
As a dev I struggle to maintain coherence with Claude Code even though I’ve piped more than 10b tokens since Jan. Certain trivial stuff is easily remedied but even more devil lives in abundance of details now. So the task moves one level above in terms of abstraction, but is not solved.
If guys were good at typing one and the same thing in one and the same lang, which is nothing wrong about given how crafts went for ages, then they will be struggling to compete with the GPTs. But if they are in the architectural and operational perspective … well - work and demand just increased, so please stop whining.

well, at some point I (like after 5 hours of CC) I can swear im looking at pure random coming out. so perhaps the ability of LLMs to make complex stuff even more complex, would be beneficial. obfuscation, after all, is not about having performant code, but an art form, right?
/curious though given the very nice conversation we're having here, why the parent topic gets down-voted. is neither off-topic, nor rude.../
