This is why young people should save / invest / risk up in their late 20's and early 30's. Be in a position where you don't really have to work in your 50's or at least maintain the energy to pivot when you realize you are no longer as valuable as you thought. I've already started to feel this at 28.

Interesting theory. Then again, anyone who's been around the block long enough with BTC or Eth knows the hilarious state of "regulation" regarding crypto exchanges and their liquidity requirements. Which candidly further supports your idea here.
"Crypto Idiots" are a damn fine scapegoat for the insane monetary policy currently rolling out of the white-house.

Net-zero pledges seem analogous to Exonn starting "climate focused" think tanks and creating marketing material about "investing in algae based biofuels". It's purely marketing, kicking the can down the road.
However, applying the blanket statement of "<insert initiative here> [are] not good enough" is also a lazy approach to actually finding a solution.

This is really cool and I overwhelmingly agree with the risk stats they mention in their brief intro.
That said, the reason pilots are paid to fly dangerous whirlybird machines is primarily for take-off and landing. Takeoff and landing are operations that require the most concentration, coordination with air-traffic controllers and other aircraft and regardless of weather carry the most risk. Takeoff and landing are likely to be some of the last functions to be automated, I'd argue this even further with take-off. Another important aspect here is the pilot should be able to act independently of multiple systems failing - as the moniker goes... "fly the plane until its on the ground or stopped".
The coolest pilot safety automation tool to improve safety I've seen thus far is an iPad app developed by the OG developer of the X-Plane flight sim Austin Meyer[0] (definitely check out his blog) called Xavion [1]. Basically, it's an app that with decent GPS will calculate a glide plane to the nearest airport in seconds. Austin is an avid pilot and clearly a brilliant guy - I'm eager to see if he starts commenting on autopilot ai initiatives like that of Deadalean.
0 - https://austinmeyer.com/
1 - https://xavion.com/

The point about population is commonly overlooked! What's more, China doesn't seem to have a strong basis of values (religious or otherwise) other than what the government applies by force. This is how you end up with people willing to take insane ethical leaps to make meager sums of money and discount the wellbeing of fellow citizens etc etc. At this point the CCP actively re-write their own religious grounding and at times willingly erase cultural tenants. I also think it's incredibly important to outline that *positions / beliefs of the CCP should not necessarily be conflated with the people of China*.
For a point of comparison, many mischaracterize how a large portion of conflict in the middle east has actually been intellectually driven by a deeply seated notion of agency along side belief structures. That said, the middle east even "tyrannical" countries like Iran have religious figures who think deeply about the direction of their dogma. This is something that appears to be completely absent in modern China.

It's going to be interesting to see what the long-running consequences of manipulating an entire populous will be. In Europe there are rules that curb speech and their culture is inherently more grounded than American culture - but outspoken individuals are aware of rules not outright banned or silenced in most cases.
China in 20yrs will either be productive and well disciplined to produce for the state - essentially near pure fascism or it might meld into something far more dystopian when newer generations grow up never even knowing what discourse or dissent from dogma is.

Could you add context as to what you're renting? Most payment processors behind common e-com platforms explicitly state you can't use them for renting, homes, cars etc for compliance / risk reasons. This is why dedicated platforms like AirBnb and Turo dominate since they can insure the risk their customers take at much lower rates than you or I could without a whole company behind the concept.

Most people aren't able to observe and willingly acknowledge their emotional response to a given issue, others don't think deeply enough to understand why disagreeing can sometimes lead to a clearer understanding of both their position and the world around them.
People parodying two completely different court cases against each-other and claiming some kind of "injustice" is a common example of this. It's charitable to even consider this kind of lowball mental gymnastics a middle-school level of argumentation.
Tbh, I think most people who haven't studied logic or understand why first principles are important just let the current tide of politics / emotion completely drive their perception.

This is great, specified search on GitHub has previously been very hit or miss. Generally I use the search feature for learning / trying to see if something I'm trying to do already exists. I personally think vsCode has the best code search implementation, in terms of "exact", "partial" and "regex" matching. The UI is clear, non-technical team members can navigate their way around it and it's relatively fast assuming you don't have too many extraneous plugins installed.
