It nearly breaks me, too. It breaks me because it stigmatizes medication that has helped make me function in a world not designed for me. It breaks me because it stigmatizes medication that on average is going to let me enjoy being on this earth ~7 more years than I otherwise would be.

Yeah, it could be. But why would I want 5+ small 5 minute interruptions when I could have a single 20 minute interruption? Assuming all interruptions have a minimum of a 5+ minute context-switching time, the 20 minute meeting is 25 minutes whereas the 55 ends up being 510=50 minutes.

The article says that the information had yet to be verified.

How did the driver not step on the breaks or turn before they got that far down the tracks? I don't know how this could be possible if the driver was paying attention at all.

The obvious foil to the lithium industry is the fossil fuel industry. Lithium mining isn't inherently bad, it's only bad in the case where children are being forced to work in the mines. Fossil fuels is an inherent negative due to its outsized environmental impact.

You're throwing the baby out with the bathwater.

I had only used CarPlay once in a rental prior to buying my Tesla. I don't feel like the infotainment thing in my Y is missing anything, but I also don't really know what I am missing out on.

What about CarPlay/Android Auto are you concerned about losing? I'm not trying to convince you that you don't need it, I just honestly don't know what I'm missing.

I roughly agree with you in enjoying the table of contents.I wouldn't say I love the site though.

I find the blue-on-white text difficult to read. Though, surprisingly, it's a bit easier to read on mobile for me.

The line height is too short to read easily.

I have a lot of trouble with the "How and why EasyOS is different" page. Especially on mobile where it's nearly unreadable for me.

I don't understand this sentiment. I'm not attacking, I'm trying to understand.

So if there's opportunity for a feature that adds real value for many people to an application without it affecting the core of the product, it shouldn't be added? I can add passwords and unlock websites just as quickly with 1Password as I could 8 years ago. Why does adding other useful, related features make a difference?

While Bootstrap certainly abstracts CSS away for you in a way that you can get by without knowing much about CSS (for simple things), Tailwind is just tokenized CSS. You can't use Tailwind without knowing CSS or learning CSS in the process.

That feels pretty lean and simple to me.

Has ChatGPT's censoring (a loaded term, but idk what else to use) been relaxed with GPT-4o? I have not tested it because I wouldn't have expected them to do it. Does this also extend to other types of censorship or filtering they do? If not, it feels very intentional in the way you're alluding to.

I have a LG 38WN95C (3480x1600, 144hz, thunderbolt 3) monitor that's plugged into my Macbook Pro (M1 Pro _I think_, I'm not home to doulble check). The laptop is in clamshell and plugged in via Thunderbolt 3. IIRC, I had to turn the refresh rate down to 120hz, but otherwise it works well. The only hiccup is that if I unplug it, use it for a bit, and plug it back in I have to open the lid one time after plugging it in so it can realize it's plugged in to a display.

I have a M3 Pro MacBook Pro for work that I also swap between on the display using the single cable that I remove from one to plug into the other. The laptop travels with me to work where it plugs into a 16:9 4k 60hz monitor while it's open. I have the same clamshell issue as my personal laptop where I have to open it once after plugging it in, but otherwise it works pretty well.

I do however have to do some workspace rearranging when I go from clamshell->ultrawide to my work setup of open lid->16:9 monitor. But that's no a huge deal since I'm going from 1 screen to 2 screens.
