No, ELECTRON spin is not exactly a direction, as in 3D vector. In every direction, it can be +1 or -1. It follows different transformation than a vector(wigner matrix for j=1/2 and 1). Expressions like direction |z> and |x> are not independent in this case.
Photon spin is actually a vector, as with all spin 1 particle.

> Fortunately for 1) (I think) it currently takes 2^512 (?) operations to break the private/public algorithm which is unfeasible to brute-force on normal hardware but a QC brings it down to 2^128
Where have you got that info? Quantum computers can break ECDSA in polynomial function of 512.
> the blockchain could be changed overnight to use a new keying algorithm.
How?

> With regards to stability, I had no issues with either AWS, Softlayer or Hetzner. However, when running a long task (the benchmark with Tensorflow-GPU) on GCE, the job abruptly stopped after a few days without showing any errors, and I couldn’t figure out why. A repeated attempt also resulted in the same failure.
I encountered same error with google cloud ML engine. No errors on warning when shutting down. Any idea why?

What? That was really not the point. The GP's point was 'As long as India periphery is culturally diverse from Hindi core, India is not going to get anywhere', which is kind of opposite of what you are saying. Also see 'India will develop unevenly Gujarat, Maharashtra, TN, AP will forge ahead' which shows kind of unhappiness from development of some areas.

> But even with murder, the law doesn't stop murders before they happen, but rather only acts retroactively (and that is for good reason).
In a way the law tries to accomplish this by limiting ways like guns, bombs and sometimes doing checks randomly or based on suspicion.
