At least for nathropic they don't care if it's open or closed. They just want regulation for something of certain capabilites. Demis hassabis wants this as well. I don't get whats the issue. Sometimes it feels like people are fighting a strawman.

Huh i don't get it? They have been consistent about regulation and safety. Before they were in the lead the wanted the same thing? Openai on the other hand supported Illinois SB 3444. They seem to actually want regulatory capture.

Still avialable through the API. According to people that have tried both Fable nad 5.6, Fable is clearly better at coding. So i expect a lot of people to pay extra for it.

Dario tells the truth. If you look at everything through their safe AGI mission it all makes sense. They are not bs'ing about that. Also I think most people just read headlines or 10 second clips and make false extrapolations from there.

(BTW Anthropic only exists because Sam Altman is a liar, Dario admitted this.)

There has been an anti anthropic propaganda push by bad actors across social media sites especially Reddit and twitter. This started a few months ago when anthropic started beating openai.

Sam Altman was doing interviews talking about p(doom). They all were requesting regulation just not this opaque ad hoc kind.
