Every training set will produce a different set of weights, even the same training set with produce different weights with different initialization, leave alone slightly different architectures.

So what exactly is the point, except "look at us, we are so clever"?

Absolutely, unless you want to make any life-changing decisions based on them.

This is also part of the modern culture - producing useless verbiage is ok on social media, and even is scientific communities as "research papers".

In reality though no accurate predictions can be made from merely information which is what an indexed text is.

There are a few fundamental principles at various levels behind this statement.

One is that the actual causes of events are at a different level from the texts. Another is that mere observations and counting (weighting) will always miss a change, and so on.

There is also the notion of "fully observable" environment, which is related to why validity of the "prediction" about the Sun to rise tomorrow is based not on mere "statistics" but on knowing the dynamics within the Sun (the actual process).

But, yes, everyone is just riding the hype though.

Isn't "encrypted messages" implies the impossibility of any scan?

Oh, could it be that they store all the msgs as a plain text on the server and the "encrypted" is just a meme for only a TLS connection?

I wrote a lot of notes which could (and perhaps should) be converted to a book.

However I don't have enough self-discipline to prepare a proper manuscript. I need a professional editor and publisher.

I am good at solving complex problems but bad at almost everything else.

And, of course, nothing is finished on the subject of principle-guided programming as a systematic way of dealing with complexity (in the old (and almost lost) MIT spirit!)

I have a lot to write.

Leetcode tests how is your math, and math is hard because handwaving and virtue signalling does not work with it.

Algorithms should be not memorized but derived on the go from well known mathematical models.

This is what good schools like MIT used to teach.

The source builds of GHC are broken since 9.2.1

It seems that it cannot see the template-haskell package bundled with the compiler used for bootstrapping, and yes, I have downloaded binary distribution to be sure.

We have to somehow curb ill thought changes by virtue signalling narcissistic assholes.

And yes, I wish to express my anger and frustration in these particular terms.

No. They just associate repeated sounds, without any semantic whatsoever, just like bird songs.

Cats do not have the brain circuitry for semantic networks (based on a language concepts) evolved yet. So called language areas are required.

How this crap is even got through a peer review? Rithoric question, I know.
