Try invidious. https://invidious.io/ It is a FOSS front end to YT. You can do anything, download in various video and audio formats. Watch any video without signing in. No ads, etc. There are other options as well such as https://newpipe.net/ client for Android and Yattee for iOS. https://github.com/yattee/yattee

When I was at the office, there were always two or three people who stopped by my desk every day, and just wanted to talk about some BS thing. Now with work from home I never hear from them. Because they realize that this was non-work related and if they send me an email or chat, that is going to be on the record

How did he manage installing applications such as banking apps from the place store? Unless you’re going to be sideloading the app how do you know that you’re getting official banking app and not just downloading some file online.

My Pentium 60 I bought in 1995 for $2200 came with 4 mb of RAM. I later upgraded it to 8 mb. 540 MB hard drive, 2x CD ROM drive. It ran just about everything I had until I built my next computer in ‘98

They do, with Server 2019 for corporate servers. But your point is that no one is running Server 201x as their desktop OS, unlike the NT 4 .1 days, which then was rebranded into windows 2000, or NT 5

My daughter could not do her homework assignment, her Google classroom is linked to YouTube. Thank goodness I was able to find the video she was looking for on Dailymotion. I haven’t been to the site in over 10 years
