Separating AI hype from reality"

Your comment resonates with me due to the cognitive dissonance of seeing the benefits and issues with AI as far as development work. I have been struggling to identify a process improvement that AI can improve not only the development aspect by the overall productivity of our company. We are a dev shop mostly C++ and python. At our company I see the development workflow and it is very inefficient. The biggest issue is communication. AI can certainty increase the coding output and velocity, but the rest of the process relies on humans.

The benefit of Ventoy is that you can continue to use the same USB drive for storage, in addition to have the ability to boot from any number of .iso files on the drive. Extremely useful

The reality is these platforms are optimized to use any content to increase page views and ad revenue. I am typically not an advocate of regulation, however at the very least restrict these platforms to 18 and older

I had my fully updated PS5 powered off for about a month. I could not login because it needed a new firmware update. But I could not connect to Ethernet for some reason. Swiched to wifi, downloaded the update but I failed to install. Required a few reboots. Now this is not a typical experience but it is far from the Sega genesis and Nintendo SNES cartridge games that worked flawless

When I was at the office, there were always two or three people who stopped by my desk every day, and just wanted to talk about some BS thing. Now with work from home I never hear from them. Because they realize that this was non-work related and if they send me an email or chat, that is going to be on the record
