I was in London recently, and I noticed that there weren't too many vehicles, and even though roads had only one or two lanes per direction, there wasn't any traffic in the city center. I asked some locals why that was, and they said that the tube from the suburbs was fast and frequent, and it was expensive to bring your car into the city.
I hope the streets of NY will calm down, and then they can even start closing lanes and turning them into larger sideways, bike lanes, or trees.

I was young when neopets was big, so I didn't experience all of the aspects of the game. but I do remember that when signing up, it asked my age. After answering truthfully, I was told that I need my parents to sign a document for me to play. I obviously wasn't going to do that, so then I learned one of the most important things about the internet, it is okay to lie.

Either that, or simply built more (or in NY case, higher) apartments. There is obviously a demand for both short term rentals and for long term rentals. Rather than building enough housing, NY decides to ban one and give it to the other.
This solution reminds me of the "careful mate, this foreigner wants your cookie" comic

It's a power game. Presumably less Americans visit places that require visas since there are enough places that don't. So Americans may not want to go to Europe as much. Currently plenty of European tourists go to America, so maybe that doesn't bother them as much.
Pick a third world country like Jamaica. Americans can go there visa free, and Jamaica wants Americans to continue to come, so it stays visa free. However Jamaicans require Visas to go to the US, because the US had decided that it doesn't need to encourage Jamaicans to come to the US, enough already do.

One thing that I remember learning was about one of the Mexican native tribes (I think Aztecs). After their entire army was defeated by a few hundred Spaniards, the general was annoyed that the natives fought, so they enslaved everyone and had them demolish every single building in the capital. The enslavement was so bad that soon after that 90% of the natives died.
Imagine that after losing a war, your job was to work yourself to death in order to destroy your entire national legacy.

The problem with many trains is that you have to book a specific time (like with airplanes) or else the price rises significantly (like with planes). The price is almost more than air flight. And in the US, passenger trains have to wait for other types of trains, making them artificially slower.

Maybe if he moves to a foreign country that is nice to expats, and not too nice to the US, he could work and save up money there (Maybe UAE).

Similarly, tic-tacs are labeled as having 0 grams of sugar even though they are nearly 100% sugar. That is because their chosen serving size is 1 tictac, and 1 tictac is 0.49 g, which is 0.01 g below the limit for reporting.

I don't know if it's just me, but Airbnb recently stopped working for me on chrome. A partial website would load, with the basic images of a property, but I was never able to load more. I later discovered that Firefox works, so I use that, but not before planning my previous trip with booking.com . That was when I realized just how bad Airbnb's search is. With booking.com you can take an area of a map and sort by total price. With Airbnb you can only sort by price per night. but with cleaning fees varying a lot, that is pretty useless information.

While this does look like a biased one sided post, a year passed and I couldn't find any response from SUSE. So I'm guessing that there is a lot of truth behind this. Although I'm not quite convinced that this is antisemitism, but rather anti-non-christian. I suspect that a similar post wishing Muslims a happy Ramadan would be taken down.
