Just a data point, I have a $800 watch (Garmin Fenix 7 Pro Sapphire) that has a built in LED flashlight, including a red hue. I bought it to have backup GPS in off grid situations and for health and activity tracking, but tbh the feature I would never want to give up is the flashlight. I use it all the time and it’s, frankly, invaluable. I’m not sure if other smart watches have good flashlights, but they should. I almost never use my phone flashlight as a result.

Hunting laws in general vary state by state but for the most part you can’t just go out and kill any random thing flying around. There generally has to be some sort of formal designation that a species can be hunted. Otherwise don’t kill it.

An important addendum is that if you leave any part of the knife exposed (such as knife on the inside of pocket, but clip on the outside) that is considered "brandishing" and can trigger a stop by the police. This is a common pretext for a stop and frisk.
When I lived there I switched to a Case folding knife so I wouldn't accidentally run afoul of this law.

Couple of notes. Length numbers are more like 10-15 inches different between generations if you account for trim configurations. Single cab trucks just aren’t sold anymore which is separate from this discussion. The Taco is also more narrow than an F150 which I think is relevant to this discussion.

Not to mention that a full sized F150 is less than an inch wider than one from 25 years ago. What people see when they see truck size is vertical size and hood lines which is what has changed the most. Trucks look much bigger now, which is partly aesthetics and partly for safety, but I think people have internalized a belief that they have grown outward too, which is not the case.

Also in the Northeast and take advantage of this occasionally. I took a hunter safety course recently and they hammer it in that this model is changing as more and more land is bought by people moving to these areas from places that don't have this custom or land gets passed to generations that don't share this ideal or don't want to bother with people on their land (many times for good reasons).
I personally love it and would probably never post my land, but I feel like it is one of those nice things that can be described as "just the way we did things back then" that won't last much longer.
