There is a tourist attraction here in New Zealand that started its life as a way for a potter, Barry Brickell, to get his clay and fuel for the kilns to his studio. It’s a beautiful spot, particularly if you manage to avoid a busy time.

I’m sure there are other mini ones out there.

If it’s taking 3 hours on a passenger train, a 5-10 minute transfer seems vastly more efficient.

Out of interest I checked. I live in New Zealand and iPhone revenue is about 60% more than my countries GDP.

If we assume everything you say here is true, why is the US in such a bind with reopening the straits? The risk of Iran behaving exactly like this has been understood for decades. The attack was not a a wise, measured move.

Funds for Israel flow. Trump was yelling expletives down the phone at Netanyahu this week. Trump has been leading an Israeli war.

It’s dizzying, and it’s almost as though there is a lack of sound minds involved.

Has the US ever been easier to manipulate or spy on?

I was gifted a subscription and clicked cancel on it in January out of concern it would roll over.

It still rolled over and the person who gifted it had to call them, repeatedly, from New Zealand and spent ages on the phone (at their cost).

The NYT frequently offer price deals which make it cheaper to directly subscribe. But unsubscribe hell remains (or did in January this year). I’m not in the US.

I used to do this. Commuting by bike means gross damp sweaty clothes.
