The author essentially says that the quintic has no closed form solution which is true regardless of the exp-minus-log function. The purpose of this blog post is lost on me.

Can anyone please explain this further? It seems like he’s moving the goalposts.

We still haven't a definitive grasp on the notion of consciousness, so deciding whether something is or isn't conscious is a tall order. It is one of those definitions, like "obscenity", whose examples define the class. Good luck.

I concur that the tweeter is being pedantic.

This is largely some embedding of semantics that we currently do not fully have a mapping for, precisely because it was generated stochastically.

Saying it was "not true" seems like clickbait.

Yes, and this eurodollar futures price (and related options contracts) is used to derive, mathematically, the "percent chance of a rate hike" that you see around the fed meetings.
