My house also doesnt generate cash flow/interest by itself, must have an intrinsic value of zero. Surprisingly it can be used as collateral for a loan as long as other people assign a (however disputable) value to it.
So, of course you could be right when all (not just you) other people decide that BTC has a value of zero. Meanwhile i use my BTCs as collateral.
Value is more of a social judgment, not a law of nature. Hence the misconception?

NSO is just a strawman for the government of Israel. Surveillance technology is a very successful soft power tool, as the dictators crave its capabilities to stay in power. Pegasus is world class technology, so Israel could score a lot of brownie points by allowing these sales. Too bad they got too greedy and sloppy and allowed the phones of some US officials in Africa to be infected. Coincidentally there was a leak of 50000 phone numbers and NSO goes boom. Israeli "security diplomacy" rebuilt NSO and is still going strong, surprised i am not :-(

if your measure of successful parenting is the 100% compliance with your rules: how can your child learn if every mistake is met with harsh disciplinary measures? how can it learn when every try/misstep isnt met with guidance but a penalty?
judging from your text your educational style resembles more of a bootcamp. no judgement here, but please rethink this.

loved using blendle, for about 2 years i regularly spent about 50 EUR/m on articles. then the honeymoon phase of blendle and the publishers was over and it became clear the model just wont work. for publishers an article (usually sold for between 99 cents and 2 euro) is more than a product to be sold, as the price doesnt cover all costs. they usually have only a handful of "flagship articles" with some kind of exclusive content. they need these to capture the audience into subscriptions. this regular audience can then also be sold ads and merchandise/other stuff.
for me as user it was essential that i had access to more than 80% of the best articles of all publications for sale. as most publishers came to see that publishing their flagship articles cannibalized them selling subscriptions and eliminated their secondary revenue streams they resorted to periodically publishing only some bait articles to lure audiences to their core offers. thus the incentives of all 3 (me as user, publishers, blendle) did not align and its usefullness as a product suffered.
some publishers tried to raise the price of their flagship articles to cover more of their costs, but who pays 4 EUR for a single article? so, the business model just doesnt work.
enjoyed it while it lasted though

i suppose for the same reason you cannot prohibit breathing, it is a biological fact to be considered when drafting regulations. rules without being able to enforce them would show the governing body as weak and clueless, undermining its authority. a rather big no-no for most "powers".
rest assured when more people wear AR-type glasses they sure as hell will inject "rules" in the software to control/limit what you see. to protect of course

while i agree with your conclusions regarding the probability if a "forever"-plan will be honoured, people are rightfully pissed. and it doesnt matter if people bought on a whim or after extensive research, the company advertised it as "forever" and when they now dont honour the deal they should be called out as fraudster/liars. cause thats what it is and i dont care if others do it too.
