get your carpenter a circular saw, a drill, a router, a hand planner and an orbital. on many jobs you ll get your 10x.
you don't need much experience. the tools make you insanely faster with much much less physical strain and maintenance time. they're simple, predictable, reliable, and obscenely powerful.
an experimented carpenter would take a few minutes to be decent at using then.
- stable and "slow" is best
- don't ever let the blade get pinched (by wood)
- be mindful of the cords
- keep the flesh out of the way
- goggles up and don't breathe the dust
you got 95% of it there

these days the us government (well trump) will let you speak when your speak is inconsequential but will repress when you have a little bit of reach (universities, research, tv shows etc.). and he is modifying the system in order to reinforce his ability to do so (putting his people everywhere he should not).
but yes, you can criticize as much as you want as long as nobody is listening to you (for now).
in europe we are getting close to parity with china in this aspect though.

honestly if you use speakers 90% of the sound quality is in your room and where you put your speakers, not the speakers themselves. the room is where your money should go.
for the speakers, get active speakers, as big as you can, and connect them to a dac that costs more than 100usd, and you're good to go. after that it's diminishing returns land.
also by virtue of you having 2 spaced ears, stereo speakers will have sound cancellations (in the ~1k hz region? i dont remember very well) for mid signal.
