Cute. I had a crack at it but for me the fatal flaw is having to specifically delete the last regex before entering the next one, especially as the action gets tight. Each regex should go away once it's submitted, duh...

Our spendthrift overpaid sociopath SIL supplies our grandchildren with all the latest crap (inevitably purchased at maximum-buttfu*k boutique retail prices!) only for every item to end up ignored after a cursory inspection and then abandoned in drifts on the floor - they literally have to rent a dumpster at least once a year to throw it all away! It's truly vile. So I treasure the memory of the look on SIL's face from a couple years back when I presented a gift to our grandson that he played with indoors until spring and then out in the yard until SIL... threw it away! It was 20ft of rope from Home Depot.

Bottom line: nuclear waste is forever while their promises are a fart in the wind. If they find any rules or regulations or judgements from any courts to be inconvenient they need only shove some cash up Trump's ass and then, POOF! all their problems are solved... except that, yeah, the waste will still be there. Oh, well - somebody else's problem. MAGA!

Firstly, the article is appreciated - thanks. Now a minor gripe: several links I've clicked for further info point at paywalled matter, even for straightforward explanatory stuff like "moldboard plows" and, yes - I can go find info about such plows elsewhere but it breaks the stride when all that's needed is a sentence or two for clarification, not somebody's curated PhD thesis... ;->

Aha! they did a good job trying to conceal their message in today's PSA but I found it nevertheless: "Opening the packaging while thawing the vacuum packaged fish, introduces oxygen and the spores will not produce the vegetative cells that produce the toxin."

Nice work - congratulations! ...and, yes - I had to paste the text of today's game into vi so I could use the bracket matching to untangle the clues... :)

Also, I would make it more obvious which clues are eligible for solving at the moment rather than penalizing us for not being able to discern which ones are.

I haven't yet read the article but my immediate reaction is that back around 1992 there used to be an X screensaver program that did pretty much exactly what's shown in that YT video and it was strictly algorithmic...
