Because based upon on what Anthropic has told the “AI people” and military, it is dangerous if an adversary gets its hands in the cyber capabilities. Knowing that if they ignored it and something did happen, heads will roll. Blame Anthropic for that, or wait if they are all for safety, they shouldnt complain.

Anthropic seem f’ed, not f’ed all at the same time. All this will come to light, but the hunch from the model reviews is that it’s all PR. Their model isn’t even close to all that for the govt to shit their pants over.

How do you trust these guys? They are quite hell bent on "safety" but this is backfiring in many ways including safety of your code because it may fail successfully if your context contains something they don't like.

I feel like the over safe aspect of the system will eventually back fire by doing stuff like "since humans always want to always destroy thing, they must be eliminated to stay on the guard rails". If thats how you align a system, its fundamentally wrong.

I know this sounds "bad" but early in Tesla's forcasts, I've seen many "highly unlikely" articles, but Tesla ended up blowing past expectations. This one is tough too, but I hate just dismiss it as unlikely especially with Elon at the helm
