I see this as a good thing. It means that we'll (hopefully) get stricter security revolving around using these numbers. It'll no longer be enough just to yap out a 10 digit number to "verify" you are who you say you are. We already have a (albeit heavily critiqued) national 2FA system in place (MitID).
We'll have to start treating the CPR number as just a username, instead of a password. It should never have been "secret" in the first place.

This bell would be illegal in Denmark, where our laws clearly state that you are only allowed one signal giving device and that any signal giving devices attached to vehicles (including bikes) can only produce one constant sound.
How this would be enforced is a different topic.

Facebook's feed is nonfunctional. Only some people get notification, even though they have notification for all messages turned on. Only some get the newest posts in their main feed. Sometimes I do get notifications, but only long after an urgent message was posted.
Has anybody successfully moved their local community off of Facebook groups?
I'm thinking about neighbor conversations/events, daycare, kindergarten, kids' classmates, sporting communities, etc.
If so, where did you go? Did you build something yourself or do you self-host some open source project? Did you find a good paid alternative?

Since using `def` to create a method returns a symbol with the method name, you can do something like this too:

  memoize def expensive_calculation(arg)
    @calculation_count += 1
    arg * 2
  end, ttl: 10, max_size: 2

  memoize def nil_returning_method

    nil
  end

I hold a PhD in computer science. I have more than 10 years of experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails. I've helped build and scale frontends, backends, and APIs in general. I'm ready for whatever you throw at me - and can easily learn new technologies and languages, if needed.

I did the same for both of our kids. For the first, I created a web app where you could +1 or -1 on all legal names. I even used the Web Speech API to read aloud the names, if you clicked them.
For the second kid, I created an iOS app using React Native (https://i.imgur.com/aaTqXAY_d.webp?maxwidth=760&fidelity=gra...) where you could swipe names Tinder-style.
We didn't use the apps to find _the_ names, but to get a narrowed down list we could pick from. The projects were fun and educational.

In Denmark we use 24h, but we call them by their 12h equivalent, e.g. "15:15" is "a quarter past three". However, you could also say: "It's now 21 30" to signify half past nine. Or some people would say: "It's half 10". Okay, having 24h clocks don't make it easier it seems.
