These GLP-1 drugs seem to do more than what the article describes. The spontaneous cessation or serious reduction of addictions (chemical, behavioral) and otherwise compulsive behaviors when taking GLP-1s is widely discussed and described.

Except if your body is unnaturally screaming at you to eat more. The obesity epidemic is not caused by ignorance or lack of willpower. It's natural differences in how people's bodies work compounded by modernity's changes to physical activity levels and diet.

I guess you can spin this is a failure of AI, but I don't think so. Why don't you know what your credentials have permissions to do? Why are you storing credentials in files? Why don't you have network level isolation between environments? Why are you having agents do deployments in staging down to individual commands running in terminals and API calls (should be in pipelines, standardized.) Why are you using tools (Claude Opus, Railway) without understanding how they work? So many more.

This is like running around with scissors and getting mad when you inevitably trip on a rock in your path fall and stab yourself.

That "article" was written by AI as a CYA moment from the dev/owner. It means nothing.

The section on proverbs is missing the point, despite overthinking it.

You're not meant to take a proverb and apply it literally in all cases. It's a piece of wisdom you pull out when you deem it appropriate. The analysis and individual judgement of the human being is implied.

If you included more it wouldn't be a proverb.

Totally disagree. Killing my third party app reduced my reddit usage by like 90%. Now I really only use it on my desktop PC.

On mobile, when I tap reddit search results I am never logged in which means I have to go to old.reddit.com to see the full thread and comments. If they added a log in wall I'd just stop tapping reddit results on mobile.

Or maybe they're just depicting making signs with their hands? All of the images in the article can be replicated by making hand signs and using them and stencils.

Seems unjustified to jump to ritual mutilation. Reminds me of that joke that everything archaeologists don't understand is a ritual artifact.

If it's better then why shouldn't it win? Frankly the lines are blurred. So called liberty is not so clearly championed by the west any longer, and on top of that robber barons and corporations are running rampant through our societies and governments. There's no apparent upside for ordinary people to a Western victory any longer, or at least it's not clear cut.

After all if we're going to be ruled by elites, and be under a system which can compete with capitalist "democracy," might as well be ruled by elites who are ideologically aligned with the people's well-being.

I'm not seeing any innovation here as distinct from what is already done for inexpensive field hospitals, except that it's in a retail tent.

I'm more interested in the savings account integration. I've found it super convenient. Too low APR for long term savings, but the convenience is worth the difference to me for short term savings parking. I keep $30K or so in it revolving for moving money around. Not to mention the cashback deposit right to the account.

This post came out just after the board posted the original notice, but before the reasons for the removal became public. So it seems like it has too much factual detail, unknown at the time to outsiders, to be entirely fake.

It would be very easy to identify them with what they wrote if what they're saying is true (even saying they were "in the room while this all went down.").

I think it's real, but they're not as senior as they seem. Or alternatively they've taken a serious, stupid, risk as senior leadership which calls their judgement into question.

Ilya Sutskever really seems to think AGI's birth is impending and likely to be delivered at OpenAI.

From that perspective it makes sense to keep capital at arms length.
