It's quite interesting that those events are happening at the same moment. I wonder whether they are related

So Kramnik, being a chess player and not a statistician, invented various methods of "detecting" cheating which seemed convincing for for a layman but questionable mathematically.
Then he started attacking Daniel, Hikaru and some other players online. This all led to pretty tragic consequences.
Kramnik still believes that he's in the right.
The only good thing out of this is numerous funny videos by chess players trying to figure out intricacies of statistics and math.

(July 2026)"

I quit at April 2025. Mostly because of agonizing corporate culture, loss of meaning and long term direction.
It took me couple of months to recuperate. Turned down couple of similar jobs and some nicer ones.
Then I started working on cheap sidewalk delivery robots, knowing nothing about robotics [1].
Made far enough to lunch a pilot (as a research project) and thinking about commercial pilots afterwards.
Absolutely don't have FU money, so I'm unfolding this and let's see where this would lead me [2].
[1] https://manvel-robotics.com

There are some curated lists of no-AI software.
Agree that this is just crazy.
I'm surprised that they didn't discover this kind of failure beforehand, and the backups were 3 month old.

Steam has mandatory disclosure of generative content used in games. Some got heat from gamers (Clair Obscur, The Finals).
