Security… The PDM is walled off completely, it cant install apps, its not on wifi, you cant change any settings. The issue is that a PDM technically could easily kill you, by giving you a lethal dose of insulin.
Funny thing is that the newer Omnipod 5 from the same company works with regular phones now, but only in th US.

Yeah the first thing isnt 100% true, there is no law here in Denmark, but in many many schools, kids hand over their phones in the morning, and get them back at the end of the day. Is up to the schools how they want to handle it

I would guess about 10% of an ISPs customers are gamers. Maybe lower. Again game updates are not that big, compared to your connection, so most of the day your connection is idle

Yeah.. they are not.. even tens of GiB per day is not a lot compared to your connections 1000gb/s. Netflix 4k stream is not the norm, and still only about 20mb/s so you would need to be running 50 4k streams, and even then, chances are you neighbours out of the house, or flipping instagram, so the bandwith is available..
Btw netflix did colocate with isps at one point, they might still do.

I worked at a large ISP and telco in my youth, and ofc this is how its done, its been this way forever, and is also basicly how phone networks where and are built, because you know that everyone is not going to call everyone at the same exact time, so you use an Erlang B calculation to figure out what you actually need..
For reference ths ISP i worked for, that was pretty damn big, started out with 40 modems, and that lasted a looong time..
Btw. Biggest issue with traffic when i worked there was the advent of p2p sharing, that required massive upgrades

Thats yoyr problem right there.. its 10x the cost and only feasible if hydrogen cars become the norm, and hydrogen cars will not be the norm if no fillingstations are available. Meanwhile with an EV, I will never really need to visit a charging station, unless Im on a road trip.

Denmark has alternatives, thats why this is done rather easily. The biggest problem is a slew of chromebooks bought by schools that will now be scraped, but the schools hated them anyway because of poor performance. Source Danish Guy with a daugther in 5th grade in Denmark.

That looks promising, but the costs are still way higher then putting in EV chargers, and you can set up EV charging at home, for almost no cost.
Again the scale of hydrogen fueling stations needed would be massive

Because the infrastructure needed would be bonkers, and creating fuelibg stations is not really a solved problem. You also loose a big amount of energy converting from electric to hydrogen and back. The cars themselves almost always have low storage because the tanks are very big. Hydrogen car performance is also a lot lower then pure EV.
