To me, this quote just about sums it up:

Maybe a dumb question but I don't think I've ever experienced more down/waiting time in my career so I'm much more prone to opening YouTube, HN, etc. despite not really wanting to.

Most likely the answer is to just sit and do nothing. But have you discovered an approach to making agentic coding, etc work for you without feeding into distraction and attention deficit?

This title sounds like an employment experience post: "returned to" and "left" both pretty strongly insinuate joining AWS and leaving employment, not simply using it as a customer.

Credit usage costs are cryptic enough that it is reasonable to actually fall for this trap. If you run out of credits/tokens/etc and you need to use more Claude/Codex, do not by credits because it seems worth the money. They'll be gone before you know it.

After seeing how Claude can help me clean up my disk space in no time I figured I could find some easy budget improvements with it. Perhaps just pulling in some CSVs to Claude would do the trick but I figured I'd check if there's most of a full-service solution that anyone is using, or maybe even a non-AI solution that I could modify.

Given yesterday’s ruling that Apple can’t take a cut of purchases made outside the App Store and must allow devs to link out freely, are you actually planning to do anything with this? As a small developer, I’m weighing whether it’s worth the effort to build around the App Store now that (supposedly) we can keep 100% of off-platform revenue. Curious what others are thinking and at what point you find it worth it to go off app store.

I think this was the whole point of the blog post. As someone else mentioned, this didn't have much to do with AI so referencing AI seems purely like an attempt to capture some eyes for publicity.

I'd actually say that _not_ using AI to prepare for an interview is mistake, putting you at a major disadvantage (and there are plenty of honest ways to use it).

Addiction is rampant right now, from social media and phones to vaping and beyond. People need access to science/research-based resources, not just a “sober” counter, which doesn’t apply to many people and is rarely helpful to those it applies to.

Working with a behavioral scientist and a clinical psychologist on the UX and content of the app at the moment but any thoughts, feedback, connections, or help would be amazing.

But there are surely some out there in different areas that have a nice UI and provide a lot of value. Do you have any that you’ve found? (I’m specifically curious about a language learning tool for complete beginners but wondering about other niches as well)
