Having read through the comments I think this is pretty bad take. The vast majority of the criticism seems pretty reasonable to me. By any metric you would use on any other company, Tesla is overvalued. It trades largely on hype/missed promises. It’s bitcoin but with regular earning reports. Your inability to read critical thought and not scramble to claim mental derangement because those doing the criticizing don’t agree full heartedly with your supreme leader is pretty funny to me.

When I was a kid my favourite show was Mr Rogers. I get the sense that Bluey is the closest we have to that level of energy in a kids show these days. I don’t have children yet but I look after my niece after school and we watch Bluey now and again. Even Bluey completely absorbs her. I can wave my hands in front of her face and she doesn’t notice. I’d like to think that that wasn’t the case with me and Mr Rogers but who knows…

I mean the whole world still uses the Internet after the dot-com bubble burst. A significant amount of “AI companies” are valued with revenue multipliers never used before. 44x in the case of OpenAI for example. I agree there is no going back, but this bubble will burst, and hard. IMHO.

"During that time I've become an integral part of my team and have constantly been learning."
First off, this sounds like you know a lot more than you give yourself credit for!
Second, think about what kind of site HN is. This is a site whose DAU are mostly highly educated (either formal or otherwise) from very diverse backgrounds in tech, machine learning, etc., etc.. It should come as no surprise that for any given topic there will be a ton of high quality and interesting points of view.
As for the statement 2): "will basically feel the same as I do now." To be completely honest, you probably will. Every new opportunity in life presents you with a chance to learn and while learning most people often realize how little they actually know. But that is why you are learning in the first place!

All I took away from that post is that this dude is an asshole. Sure, I have noticed an influx of self-help/how-to articles, everyone has. But his insistent whining about "business types" is laughable. In his post he mentions his new blog twice and then continues to link to it in almost every comment he posts. If that's not a form of marketing, I don't know what is.
> "Medium has become overloaded with loud, obnoxious idiots"
Yes it has, and you sir, are one of them.

I don't think Square was overvalued at IPO. As for today's drop: the fall in oil has hit everyone, unfortunately Square's fall of around 8% is worse than most. For Example today AMZN saw a drop of around 4% and TSLA is down 5.5%.
Don't be wary ;)
