Have a look at harbour project on github.
It compiles Clipper code to be run on several different platforms, in text and gui mode (also with Qt bindings) and mow there are several frameworks for web development

Da vinci is great software but for long time vegas users it is not easy to adapt. I tried several times and failed. I used to edit a couple of my daughter theatrical performance with up to 5 cameras and wanted to use da vinci for its "sync-with-audio" feature and easier color correction for the various, different cameras.
I also use 2 pc to edit with vegas, with project and video on an external usb3 disk, moving it from home to office. It is not so easy with da vinci that uses an external database: doable but not easy.

You can still compile dbase/Clipper programs with Harbour, github hosted, open source, Clipper 5.2 compatible compiler that runs almost everywhere, from native windows 64 bit to mac, raspberry, linux, embedded appliances, anywhere there is a c compiler available.
The language has been slightly expanded and with external libraries you may have gui programs (win32, qt, gtk) l, connect to databases (sqlite, mariadb,postgres...) create PDF, excel files.
I have a program started in 1986 on dbase III, then ported to Clipper and now to Harbour...

Your past data shows you sell 100 apples every day, despite the cost. Then it shows that you may sell other 100 if the price is considered "low" by the clients or 30 if the price is "high".
Then you know how many are in stocks, from how many days, and how many are arriving.
And you fix the price accordingly

Someone told me that our public facing dns server running bind has 3800+ days of uptime and despite bind is up to date, the Linux version is really old... it's running on a dl360 g4 server.
Since they also proposed to have a different master/slave configuration my idea was to use ansible to have all the stuff reproducible.
Then packer seemed to be necessary, then started to look at some more complex configurations and found that in many cases you just create gigantic bash script that apply the configurations.
So I should go to my wiki page with all the commands to create my server and transform them into a script that I should test several times.
Ok if you have 100s of identical servers, but when you have just 4?
