Regardless of "strategy", algorithmic content delivery is going to be used for propaganda, period. What's really fascinating is it kind of happened over night, when Instagram and Twitter were updated to not display content in chronological order. Personally, I took for granted how much bigger than a "UX change" this was.

5 years from now we'll likely see Apple Silicon powering Apple's entire new product lineup, and Swift developers will be deploying software across the entire product lineup with minimal effort. Swift is both quick and safe, so we can hope these new softwares will be both fast, secure and free of critical bugs.

This to me is a really interesting and appealing alternative to the frustrating world of slow web apps that invade your privacy and fill your computer with bloat. I don't see Apple's previous stance as being greedy about obtaining a 30% cut, rather it is about trying to bring to fruition a vision of the future where users can perform their computing needs with fast and secure native apps. I hope we don't legislate away such a reasonable opportunity for people to be freed from Google and Facebook invasion.

I've read a lot of bootlicking comments on this website lately from people who want to talk in upper abstractions about free speech and discuss moral theory. You are all completely missing the point. That black people are needlessly DYING because real life white supremacists are having their voices promoted and platformed on the internet.

When it comes to activists eating their cake and having it too, yea, those are the privileged facebook employees taking a paid day off as a way of making a statement. What a joke.

You know who needs their voices heard? Who needs free speech? Black people. And our society silences them through gruesome MURDER. Murders with no justice. God forbid someone get their tweet "fact-checked".

Take an obviously absurd political viewpoint, which nowadays has to be really absurd. Here's an example: Tom Cruise should be president of the United States. Scientology will make America great again.

Sounds pretty fucking absurd, right? But throw in 50 million bots on Twitter and Instagram pretending to be Americans who think Tom Cruise should be president, and now your once absurd view point simply becomes "the other side of the aisle." It's of course all fake.

Unfortunately this exploits the minds of otherwise kind hearted people that do really want to give you a chance to hear you out. It is how democracy should work after all. But the current reality is this "other side" is basically just white supremacists. Full stop. They're not all rotten people, plenty of them were goaded into embracing the hatred because the internet, and all those fucking bots, makes it look normal
