<p>"Max-Planck-Gesellschaft"....bless you<p>one time I was walking back to the shop, and out of the corner of my eye I saw a canoo, on.a car
a real birch bark canoo, and darn didn't I want to go look closer, but well you know, so I go to the shop, but a while later someone came in and asked for help getting there keys out of there car, as this was a possible thing then, so out we go to unlock the car with a birch bark canoo on top, and
I got a whole insiders view of modern canoo making for fun and profit, which if you are an indigimous person is considerable, as there is a huge demand for various authentic native craft and performsnce in Germany, where my new friend told me that native cultural practisioners go and perform, he bieng a canoo builder, they ship over a shipping can full of bark and whatever else is needed, but another story is pertinent to the article at the top, and that was a(forget tribe name) plains indian.in.full regalia was interupted and critisised by a german with a huge book on plains indian dress, stating that the performers regalia was not correct, as per the book, his response was clasic, .....he said "anything I am wearing is authentic plains indian dress"
.....now they are trying to nail down jazz.....
they cant hear it or feel it,it's not there's and they will never have it, or understand it
or like a girl friend would yell at people staring at us "grow your hair and get a hippy"
edit: clasic movie on the subject <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schultze_Gets_the_Blues" rel="nofollow">https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schultze_Gets_the_Blues</a></p>

<p>I held out a bit longer, and then skimmed, but started to become offended by the whole ,thing, but couldnt be bothered to be that annoyed by so many different things.
That said I am very much into bieng outside in the company of many animals, working with them, and just bieng in wild environments, but language fails, when it comes to describing how species interact, and in the end, we cant describe our own
mental proceseses in a clear, intellible by all, way. There is yet to be a genius of the mind, where the definition of genius is,:an idea that once explained, everyone else goes "of course"
My main issue is that these sort of philisophical
projects, reek, of money and hidden agenda's, and shade very quickly into, policy decisions, and quasi religious beurocratic powers.</p>

<p>Rooftop solar is perfect.
The lack of a full, east/west ultra high voltage
transmission line to connect markets......like the one China is building out, is the issue.
Once a grid is connecting time zones, rather than "regions" then the whole peak demand thing, just goes away, add batteries in the gaps, and for remaining peak clipping, and then averages start to become much closer to real world demand.</p>

<p>could be.... did a course for sound engineer, but didnt like the music biz, but still love sound...
human hearing is a very funny thing, part mechanical, part electrical impulse, with some rather sophisticted processing going on
in.that if you listen to a concert piano bieng played back on an ancient taped deck.with a 1 7/8”
speaker, that speaker is incapable of reproducing the low c, but you will hear it, because you can hear the harmonics of that low c, and your brain
fills in the "obvious" fundamental tone.
which means that we are always "hearing things":)
other wierd stuff, like going into an anekoic chamber, and sitting quietly, of which I have not done, but is apparently rather odd.
so it is possible that "noise cancelling" which is just enough processing to create a sound wave 180°out of phase to the "noise", could be messing with peoples brains, as it trys to out process the very unnatural digital processing.</p>

<p>as is often the case, one species will make a burro only to have other species take over and modify it, with choice locations, used contiously for several millenia, so an odd scratch here and one there adds up, and we have no other behavioral evidence for this last mega fauna, so who knows?
might find more of these in different stages, with perhaps fossil evidence</p>

<p>doing fine @ 45°north thank you, and know people living and making all of there income from solar
even further north, with I might add equipment that is now outdated, but was much more expensive
than what is availible now, which has almost doubled in efficiency, and is less than half the price, retail, with palet loads becoming bizarly
cheap.
When combined with a new build semi passive solar house, conventional heating systems can be omited
entirely.
There is a comming "solar divide" ....those who pay energy bills, and those that dont.</p>

<p>living in an old farm house, where rodents can be a problem, with feed and manure and old buildings providing , food and shelter for rats and mice, this year is exceptionaly cold, and now everything is frozen solid, so rodents can dig and tunnel, and all the water is frozen, so the rodents are having a hard time, invading looking for food and water and warmth, and I am doing my best to be inhospitable, rat, bat, splat.
Also the preditors are finding it easier to get them as rodents are forced to expose themselves, I even had a close encounter with an ermine, which is one tiny sleek, fancy killing machine, huge eyes for the size of the head.
Rats can not survive outside of areas without human development in areas with hard winter freezes, and face heavy predation by snakes further south, so are again limited to human and snake(other preditor) free areas, like islands.
Also rats are essentialy imune to poisons that were deadly to them, and are likely becoming imune to whatever is thrown at them now.
So numbers will be up, and the reasons for that will vary.
I dont like rats at all, and study them, as I hunt them, and other vermin.</p>

<p>lead was the additive of choice to reduce plastics flamability in household items like venitian blinds and other stuff, when it degrades it drops a whitish dust, that is largely lead, also certain plastics react with food and other common things in a home, and react, producing byproducts that are bad for us, and of course, plastic itself is never totaly benign
my preference is to have as little of the stuff around as possible, but that is harder and harder to do</p>

<p>I am bootstraping, and have used proton for years as my only email, but have my own email now, and am slowly backing out of proton. The horrible way that they extort by limiting and degrading a service is only part of the problem. They degraded email replies at one point, to a tiny "page" with less than one full line of text.
There is more, but proton is not worth the effort to remember and detail all of it.<p>I will use google or any other service for building up an advertising presence.
And keep the proton, until everything is moved.
And then again, pragmatism might decide in favor of useing the proton service, but only as the core of my business is seperate, and will spread my
add bucks around, so I feel safe.
Currently have NO guggle anything, because of past denial of service, and will only use them for the advertising side as well.</p>

<p>First, copying anything availible to a "civilian" on the interenet is not piracy
as it can be done without any breaking or
tunnling, etc, and it is absoltlely clear that copying is bieng be done in complete inocence, click ,save, and it just works.
Second, until all digital "property" can be bought, sold ,returned, insured against
loss..... or theft, loaned out, rented out,
it is not real property, and is not subject to the laws governing property, The idea of siezing real property to somehow protect one, of an infinite number
of digital copys, is beyond comprehension.
And now faced with the fact of not bieng able to identify, where or,when,or what, was taken, they suggest that based on there general unsubstantiated susspision,
cutting someone out of the global comunication system?
The real question, is how is this bieng given a hearing? Not good, not good at all.Face up folks, they want to smash the internet, and bring back cable.
Boomer noise.</p>

<p>That there is no focus the actual failure,
and that is a secondary failure, ongoing.
Engineering, production, know what a millwright is?
The bros thought they could bluff there way through a parts per billion production line, and just hire people, strut around and
go to meetings.Anylise things.
Better batteries are made from materials that are known and consistant to parts per billion. The mechanical assembly has to be
within microns.Every parameter of temperature and humidity must be known and controlled at every stage.
It is a long tradition in some shops, that when the brozecutives show up, they are taken to the maitenence department and allowed to chat with the janitor, but never see the actual shop floor, and never know the difference.
Look at boeing to see what happens when the bros think they can optimise, purely
engineering descisions, that are already
finely tuned.
Want to build an engineering company?</p>

<p>unlikely
anything that could survive a billion years of hard radiation, hard vacume, zero humidity, and wild temperature swings.....
and then spring back to life is going to be instantly recognisable as "not from here".And as the sample return capsule was leaking asteroid dust everywhere when it landed, if it is alien, we are so fucked.
There is a vanishingly small chance that life could endure space as a spore of some kind, but it would require bio mechanisms that are unknown, and as of yet, inconceavable.
What it does point to, is just how tennatious life is here on earth and how easily it gets around, inside of our biosphere, and to the general problem of
building truely hermetic capsules and seals, and handling protocalls.
A related problem is the study of the element iron(fe), which in its purest form
us the most expensive substance on earth.
This is because iron will combine with almost anything, from any source, under any conditions, to the piont that, introducing any instrument or probe to actualy test the sample...contaminates it.
So the study of pure iron, is exceptionaly
challenging.
Likely that the asteroid sample has been compromised just by the closing mechanism
bieng jammed with asteroid dust, and it never realy sealed.
The moon missions were plagued with dust
and dust has disrupted operations on mars
,this would make 3 for 3.</p>

<p>My father was born in Patiyalla, Punjab
and at a time just before WW2, Gandi ji
would make it his habbit to stay and rest in a small leanto, attached to the back of
a local mosque in Patiyala, and while there, he forbade contact with adults.
So familys would send.there children to sit at the great mans feet. My father was the child of land owners and went to be there with Ghandi ji, but things did not go well for him, he sat with the children of the other worthies in this hut, very likely feeling out out, when another small
child ducked in, upon which my father told this child "get out bunghi" ,bunghi bieng a slur against the class and caste of thus child, and dismissing such was(and is) something that my father is accustomed to.
Ghandu ji, spoke up and said ,"NO!, you are a bhungi, we are all bhungi!" and brought this child to sit beside him facing the rest.
And in the ensuing years, with the war and partition, and my family going through horror and 17 or our close and extended
family dieing, has left me with some different views.
Ghandi did try, but it is his signature beside that of mountbattens, that precipitated a war of ethnic clensing in
the break up of india.Hitler and stallin would be envious of the body count
that came after that signature.
And the best I can say for Ghandi is that at the crucial moment, he blinked.</p>
