this page is extremely stuttery on my developer machine in chrome. why does every web page now have to have an amount of "fanciness" that apparently not even decently specced machines can take?

The true value of AI lies in hyper-specialized models that you can run locally / are embedded in programs to make tedious tasks easier.

As true open-source models mature more and more they will make the big AI labs completely obsolete.

I've found that using LLMs for significant amounts of code generation completely drain the result from any dopamine I would get doing it myself.

Have others noticed this as well? This is going so far as to me losing interest in side projects because I have "lost touch" with the code base.
