You will need ICs to review the code, approve the PR, and this will go to the pipeline and eventually get released. So you won't avoid engineers having the context of this piece of work.

In my opinion, an EM should use these 10-15 minutes for any of the responsibilities that they have in their role.

I've heard this a few times already on Twitter, but wouldn't your time be better spent in other areas? even if it is 10 or 15 mins? I am having a hard time understanding this sentiment from SEM.

If it's something that anyone could do in just 10 minutes, it could be another simple task for the ICs working with you.

Is JSON a format that needs improvement for human readability? I think there are much better ways to present data to users, and JSON is a format that should be used to transfer data from system to system.

Google is not dead in this case; what is dead is Ads on top of Google. I think the best way to fix this is to ensure that your website is optimized for searches in Google and in the new AI world.

I think the parent should decide what the level of control is and what is appropriate for their child. I don't think we need to set up laws for everyone in the world.

In my opinion, access to internet should always be behind a device controlled by an adult. And it should be this adult's responsibility to set appropriate restrictions for minors.

It's hard to keep people active for this kind of initiatives. I am also running an engineering book club and found the same challenges, especially with timezones. However, as soon as you find a group that can join every week at the same time over Zoom, it's the best way to build community and enjoy the discussions.

"Best practices" is a tool that you need to know how to use it. Same as any other tool. If you do use the same tool for everything, this is when a tool becomes a bad thing.

"Best practices" is a really good tool if you use it in the correct context.
