Yes, it drew a lot of inspiration from Bandcamp and SoundCloud, but nowadays we are focusing on developing our own features.

I'm working on Rauversion https://github.com/rauversion/rauversion, an open platform for independent music communities that combines music publishing, events, and marketplace tools in a single place. Artists can upload tracks, albums, and playlists with metadata, audio processing (waveforms, analysis), and embeddable players with chunk-range loading to save bandwidth. It also includes ticketing for events (QR validation, Stripe payouts), streaming integrations (Twitch, Zoom, etc.), a magazine system for publishing articles, and a marketplace to sell music (digital or physical), gear, merch, and services. The goal is to give underground scenes a self-hosted infrastructure for releasing music, organizing events, and sustaining their communities.

Today I woke up to find that SoundCloud had removed all of my music — including tracks I uploaded more than 12 years ago. No meaningful explanation, no recourse. Just gone.
This wasn’t a surprise, but it was a reminder of a structural problem: when artists depend on centralized platforms, they don’t actually own their distribution.
That’s why some time ago I started Rauversion: an open-source, self-hosted platform to publish, discuss, and commercialize music independently. It’s built for artists and small labels who want to run their own infrastructure instead of handing their catalogs to monopolistic platforms that can disappear their work overnight.
https://github.com/rauversion/rauversion

Rauversion is an open-source platform for music streaming that lets artists and communities create their own music ecosystems. We call these music multiverses :). Our vision is to empower musicians and managers with new ways to promote and monetize their work, building their own musical spaces with a different logic than depending on a handful of music monopolies.
repo: https://github.com/rauversion/rauversion , please give us some love
Key Features:

Both frontend and backend development come with their own challenges. However, I believe the industry has been grappling with unnecessary complexity for at least the past decade. Take React as an example: it's a library developed by Meta, which boasts a massive team of developers. But before tools like React, and even before Backbone, there wasn't a clear distinction between frontend and backend in web development.
This division is relatively new and, in many ways, has given rise to new challenges and job roles. Gone are the days when we were all considered full-stack developers, working seamlessly across layers of a web application. In reality, web development should be viewed holistically, even though there are multiple layers to it. The final product is singular and unified.
It's possible to simplify frontend development by selecting appropriate tools. For example, a combination of Rails with Hotwire and Stimulus, or similar setups in other frameworks, can make the process more straightforward.

Hello, I've just released a music platform similar to Soundcloud. It's open source and is made with Elixir/Phoenix.
The app is lightweight and can easily fit on a small machine (512RAM or so).
Check it out, and if you like it, please give us a star on Github
