PureCSS really needs to improve its markup. I tried using it but soon found my CSS littered with 'pure-' everywhere. And the grid is really "unsemantic" (?). It might just be my personal opinion, but I really disliked it.

Any way this can be "downgraded" for Snow Leopard? I hate the iOSification Lion and Mountain Lion have gone through. I like my vintage Expose with the Dashboard disabled.

You're right...I completely forgot about that. However, the "explicit" way it's written above is easier to understand in my opinion.
