You're giving up the rest of your country to a geopolitical rival from a separate region, in a separate hemisphere with smiling expansionist goals, even allowing armed Chinese security to protect Chinese installations in country. So why not give the rest of your country to China.

It will help them get a good flank on the USA such that even when that temporarily embarrassed country gets a leader you, and the rest of the world do like, it will be too late to do anything.

A perfect definition of cutting off your nose to spite your face laid bare for all to see.

I think that you do not need to feel uneasy at all. It is your computer and your memory space that the data is stored and operating in you can do whatever you like to the bits in that space. I would encourage you to continue that experiment.

No one wants or should want to allow multi tonne remote controllable surveillance machines that carry an incendiary payload as fuel to operate on their roads, let alone near important civilian or internal military infrastructure.

All they have to do is hide some remotely activated punches inside the black box battery that can start off the chain reaction. Drive into a military base at full speed, activate the punch, and cause mass confusion, chaos and destruction.

And then do that many times all at once, with helpless drivers stuck inside right before you invade an island nation you claim ownership of.

The thing is everyone goes into the IDF. The smart ones get put into unit 8200 where they hone their persistent, iterative, troubleshooting skills. Then their service is over they leave and they've basically been trained in innovation and leadership.

Then they go about solving problems. Some of those problems are people dont have a good trustworthy pornsite. Some of them are their buddies that stayed in the military have a military related or adjacent problem.

Darknet diaries did a great podcast on unit 8200.

This is why I struggled and struggled to omit JS at all costs on a greenfield project - many apps from even 5 years ago by now fired teams fail to build with cryptic npm messages. And if you get past that you have to deal with webpack or some such junk. We settled with go fyne which compiles to wasm to handle both local and remotely accessible use cases. Trade off is not as much freedom and a fixed feature set but I know it's gonna work after 5 godamn years.

I wrote a program to classify thousands of images but that was using a model running on my gaming PC. Took about 3 days to classify them all. Only cost me the power right?
