I've been sitting here in front of my keyboard for a while thinking of a nice way to say it, but I just can't come up with anything. So I'll just state the plain and obvious seen from a European (Danish) perspective:

America is moving fast towards some sort of fascism, and noone seems to be doing anything about it. So if you are American this is the time for you to rise up and show the rest of the world that there is another America. If you don't noone else will, and things will only get worse.

I'll leave you with a few quotes to get you started on your journey back towards a functional democracy:

since you have to be alone in the voting booth and your vote is anonymous it can't be bought.

You can say that you voted for X, but vote for Y and noone will ever be able to tell.

Only a flashy page with absolutely no explanation of how or what they do, how effective it is, what it costs, whether they have an actual product etc. etc.

What I see is a webpage that could be made by anyone in a few hours.

Nanotechnology was actually envisioned by Richard Feynmann in his famed 1959 lecture "there's plenty of room at the bottom".

I don't presume anyone would call out Feynmann for not knowing his physics. He even won a nobel prize for it.

No. According to international maritime law ships propelled by engines give way to ships under sail. There are no specific rules for sizes, so theoretically if a triple E class Maersk containership catches up to your dinghy powered by a 5 hp outboard it has to give way (because it approaches from behind).

All ships of this size have a number of large ballast tanks that they use to pump seawater in and out to compensate for placement of cargo.

My guess would be that they've emptied the ballast tanks in the end that has run aground and filled them in the other end to rise the keel.

Not really - steel boats easily last 100 years. A friend of mine lives in one from around 1940 and the steel is in fine shape. As long as it's properly maintained there's no problem.

In the press conference that was just held the minister of public health commented that he had been on a conference call with his Italian counterpart that had strongly advised him to shut everything down NOW, and not make the waiting mistake they did in Italy.

In Denmark it's 2 weeks starting friday. After that the lockdown will be reassessed.
