(September 2026)"]]>I started my current job as a regular JSON translator in Django, but somehow I ended up moving within the company to the software development team. We’re developing a system for portable user profiles on Linux. What’s more, we compile Python. I used to think that was a bit of a weird idea, but it turned out to be a surprisingly cool and handy tool. I now genuinely don’t understand why Python isn’t compiled in its entirety. Apparently, I spent too much time writing Django and forgot that computers can do other things XD

Lately I’ve been getting increasingly curious about what’s happening below the Python layer: Linux, filesystems, processes, authentication, and all the other things I used to happily take for granted as a web developer. It’s been a pretty fun change of perspective.
