I don't understand commercial aspect of large OSS like package managers but i was wondering for years why this was missing from npm. I think typosquatting was handled by npm last year but only after some popular miss typed packages started stealing developer creds.

I am grateful that he decided to mask himself as clown during this very informative presentation, it helps my sanity in check.

Especially after debugging performance issues on badly maintained nextjs app and not knowing most of this things.

I currently use the same thing and the issue is that you can't simply clone repo by copying url, you need to edit it each time. Not sure how does your GIT_SSH_COMMAND achieves in this case?

Most of conspiracy theories narrative was being controlled by Russia in recent years and now USA wants some of that. Probably with nothing to gain but conspiracy theories is all i hear from boomers these days.

I don't like VS Code git integration, WebStorms (JetBrains) diff/merge tool with syntax highlighting is superior.

I sometimes casually play Fortnite over nVidia Geforce Now via xDSL over wifi. And while i do entertain myself lag is hindering overall experience, at least in FPS games.

Exact same problem, actually tried making this example mentioned here to work on other browsers besides Chrome and failed to do so. Your rellax library looks really useful i just hope i won't have to build parallax websites anymore.

Main point for touch strip is changing icons/state. But that's absurd because not even my mother blind types. This is clearly another fancy thing that removes functionality.

One of the reasons behind this is because people mostly consume content on mobile devices. But there is also another reason.

To install app you first need to open play/app store, then find app you need, then download/install it and then find it in your list of apps when you need it.

"40% of people abandon a website that takes more than 3 seconds to load" Installing app takes at least 30 seconds. I hate it when i visit website and it load native app, let aside installing new app.

This is one of the reasons why i believe Progressive Web Apps will replace most of native mobile and desktop apps in near future.

Hybrid mobile apps are just a step in that direction. Browsers just need to implement all APIs for access to device native functions, and Google is already pushing in that direction. Some of functionality already exist via Service Workers.

HERE maps are very nice, they are Nokia/Microsoft and app is very polished on Android. Only thing is Google Maps have slightly better routing options.
