Being poor sucks but at the same time being poor also makes you find alternative solutions to the incredibly expensive solutions first world countries use today. I really wish Brazil can invest heavily into renewables and free itself from oil and electrify even more of everything we do.

I use claude and codex to write nearly all my code today but i can't accept using it to write prose. I still handwrite every single document I have to write and have them review and propose changes, i feel like if i can't put my own ideas into words for people (and claude) to work on i've completely lost it.

Life is much harder when you don't have a roof over your head or when that roof can be taken away from your or take more from your salary than you were anticipating. I don't think people understand the psychological safety of knowing you will not pay a single dime more on a loan for your home for 30 years. It completely erases that worry from your head.

Here's the problem, countering a lie or hallucination takes much more energy than asking Claude something and saying its true. Its the same as trying to fight misinformation on the internet, the amount of energy you have to spend to prove someone is lying or fabricating data is very high.
And having to do this on the corporate environment saps the energy and time of people that could be doing something productive by wasting their time answering a clueless person that asked an LLM about something they don't understand, got the answer they wanted (but that isn't real), and now are asking multiple people to prove it can't be done.
Here's an example, a PM decided they wanted to build a metrics framework, to track team success, with high level metrics. They asked claude to build such high level metrics (out of nowhere, these metrics don't exist), it happily produced hallucinated code that said it was collecting the metrics and the PR opened a pull request. Now we have to go there, review, find out is all bullshit and explain to the person that what they're trying to build doesn't exist.
So now we have to fight misinformation even on the clock.

> but my culture is too preoccupied with petty gossip of what others think and third world consumerism traps that prevent any kind of development
Your culture is the outcome of colonization, dictatorships propped up by first world powers, and being ruled by the same families that came with the Spanish 500 years ago.
Might be worth it to also invest time in reading another book, like "Open Veins of Latin America", to understand the realities of what happened to Latin American countries in general, so you stop repeating stuff like that.

Its more likely you'll continue to own the place than the government making something like that, that would hurt real estate owners. Renting is fine if you're on your prime years, making money and enjoying life, once you're on your way down, old and likely less employable, renting becomes an issue as you'll likely not make as much money anymore but the rents never go down.
I've seen many parents and grandparents of friends having to live on scraps and decide between healthcare and rent because they just can't make ends meet anymore.
For the young folks that can't buy because they can't save its even worse, they'll be indentured servants for as long as they're useful for the labor force and will then be thrown into the bin.
