Cloudflare's bot protection has many options. Anubis-like PoW is one of the many features. Everyone that runs a publicly-exposed server needs bot blocking of some kind.

Might end up demotivating you though if you want to do something in algo trading. His TLDR is just put your money in well-diversified index funds. I know it certainly been the case for me!

I have some exp with this domain, and thought of building something in the space.

The problem is you're competing vs Cloudflare, a huge incumbent who offers this for free (up to a point). So startups won't want your solution. Enterprises are out of question, too, for all sorts of reasons (security, GDPR, cost of change, etc).

It's a cool idea though, and I applaud you for building it.

Sonarqube is a hassle to self-host. Codecov requires a license that limits you to 50 users. There are a few no-strings-attached projects (OpenCov, Covergates) but they’re deprecated. Am I missing out any other options?

If not, I’m wondering if it’s worth releasing one; written in Go so it’s easy to run. Would people actually adopt it, even if it’s a bare-bones project that, say, only works for one or two languages (Python & JS)? I’m worried it’s not something teams care about, since they just default to a paid service that has more features.
