My implication wasn't that there'd be "low level" corruption of that nature, but that there's "high level" corruption in both instances; The direction to prosecute Aaron Swartz, and not investigate Meta, are both driven by an interest of the State to protect large enterprises, rather than citizens.

If we consider campaign financing and lobbying, I don't think it's a stretch to believe that almost any outcome can be bought in the US if there's enough money involved.

I find it interesting that there's an expectation that smart people would be happier.

Being smart is essentially "having a strong brain". Would we expect people with a strong back or legs to be happier? I wouldn't expect someone good a maths or puzzles to be any happier than someone good at carrying heavy things.

There's a difference between smart and wise. Some smart people become wise people, and I find them to be happy.

My guess would be that, like other 80s properties, many of the first generation of fans have now grown into adults with disposable incomes. I know thats the case with me and my circle.

I tend to agree. I've built a Prusa previously and my P1S is just so much more reliable, it's the first printer I've been able to recommend to friends and colleagues who I wouldn't expect to enjoy tinkering with a printer but would enjoy printing.

I have simply not had a failed print, it's incredible. I have so much confidence in the unit that I now keep two rolls of the same colour loaded and if I find a cool model while out and about, I just print it with full trust it'll be waiting for me by the time I get home. Amazing progress.

I use LAN mode for my P1S currently in a shed with a local AP and no internet access and it works fine.

Currently, LAN mode and local SD card printing does not require an internet connection. I have my printer in a bottom of the yard bungalow, without internet, and it works fine.

While the impact on Jewish individuals was the same, it's true that Nazi style antisemitism focused on them as a racial group (Their ancestry), whereas previously they were targeted as a faith group (What they believed).

Your example of the Pale actually makes the point; Converting to Russian Orthodox actually released you from the rules imposed on Jews within the Pale. Conversion wouldn't save you from Nazis.

Yes, I maintain a few legacy system that still operate partially on QNX 4.25

It did a few really cool things for its time, considering that TCP/IP networking was an optional add-on when we originally deployed.
