Hey HN, I’m Moe (YC S14). I built visibl mostly for myself, then decided to open source it in case others find the idea interesting or useful (apache2).

I’ve always found my mind wandering with audiobooks, and after interruptions I often have trouble getting back into the story. Visibl is my attempt to make audiobooks more visual and easier to re-enter.

A likely question is how inference is funded: right now I’m just paying for it myself. I’ve had some success in the past, so hopefully this doesn’t bankrupt me.

Happy to answer any questions, and would love any feedback.

Well, you can take the output of a first pass and pass it back through the model like AR “reasoning” models do at inference time.

In fairness, solar cells can be about 5x more efficient in space (irradiance, uptime).

Looks like they are distributing a dividend to shareholders (14$, well below $25), and then diluting everyone.

Has anyone heard a bull case on being a minority shareholder in Scale.ai after this deal? Seems a bit like late stake investors are getting thrown under a bus.

You can do a chargeback, but Booking.com bans you after - even if it is completely their fault

All this will do is push US customers to self custody, and outside the regulatory perimeter of the SEC.
