Of course I'd be willing to pay for new train tracks. I've wasted days of my life in northern virginia waiting for the track to free up. And they wonder why nobody uses the train!

Speaking from personal experience working with these reputation warehouses and with handling a good deal of incoming and outgoing email volume, they aren't any more effective than other IP-based spam heuristics and if everyone configured their DKIM correctly these warehouses would be largely obsolete. I don't see a problem with crowdsourcing heuristic data per se, but email is a much narrower field than internet traffic at large and I can see a lot of the ways that poorly configured fail2ban type software could accidentally ban a lot of valid traffic.

I just don't get what there is to show off. It's a phone. It's not like you built the thing! People are willing to address that these phones are "beautiful", whatever that means, without acknowledging that the differentiation mostly has class and not taste connotations.

It was recently found to be unconstitutional by the supreme court, no? This seems to be asserting a stronger claim that it was also illegal then, not that it has since ceased.

I'm actually a big fan of Netflix exactly as you articulated you don't like it—if I have an empty head, I sit down and click through to find something to watch. Not currently subscribed, though, and I wish it came at a slightly lower price point as I don't watch the vast majority of netflix content.

The reason it's not good for kids is that the houses with enough space are either crazy expensive or far from work. Trust me if I could afford it I would love to live in SF.

Also—I just found this out a month ago—a "nutritionist" is not the same thing as a dietitian, which is licensed. I had assumed these were one and the same.

I've found that an effective way to bypass recruiters and advocate for employment with your personal projects is to a) aim at small companies and b) cold-email with a cover letter. YMMV.

That's a problem for mathml. The more required tooling, the less likely it is to be used. TeX hits this weird sweet spot between writing code and writing a document that's very productive.
