I always wanted to be a developer, and it was quite long time that I was planning to get fit and change my habits (smoke, fast food, alcohol, and so on)
I run a food business (American style potato rolls), and definitely I'm not a developer, even tho I've been working as project manager for a decade being the intersection between designers and developers. At the end of 2024 something changed in me, so I started my Project Riace to get fit, and while doing this I built an app that helped me on my plan.
Starting at 87.8 kg with 28% body fat, I'm now 72 kg with 11% body fat, without losing any muscles (actually I gained about 1kg) and this thanks to a nutritionist, a personal trainer and lot of tennis. No shortcuts, just eating well and training seriously each day, starting from 10 minutes each morning, every morning.
Why I'm telling you this? Because I'm in this new better version of me, thanks also to AI.
I trained Claude with my nutritional plan made by my doctor, my exercise made by my trainer, and my goal for this summer — it has been like having a 24/7 nutritionist and personal trainer in my pocket.
But, I'm here to show you the app I made, obviously called "riace." — it's an interval timer for workouts (tabata, emom, recovery, timer) with voice control, and a personal spin on the visual part to visualise the time spent training. It's a free app, no subscriptions, no account, nothing. Just your training side-kick, as it was for me.
It has been fully built with Replit, with the help of Claude on certain parts. I orchestrated everything, tested, refined, iterated and made the UI/UX. I know here many of you are real developers, but for me this tool (Replit) is a life changer. I can finally build what I have in my mind.
The project actually started from an idea I had using a led bar timer with Arduino, which I actually built, but paused for the moment because I want to make one step at a time.
This app won't change your life, I didn't reinvent the wheel, but it changed my life! Going from an iPhone pics folder called "Road to Canotta" (Road to tank top) in 2016, now I can finally walk on the street proud of my body and with an app made by me in my phone, and hopefully yours.
Happy to answer any question!

I'm the founder and UI/UX designer behind this iPhone app for vinyl record diggers - https://apps.apple.com/it/app/disco-fm-vinyl-audio-preview/i...
The app is in a coma state because my co-founder/developer had to leave the project.
I'm looking for an iOS Developer that want to take over the project with me and build new features. The app is built in Swift and Firebase.
Currently the app has few daily downloads and users (in total subscribed about 3000, which 1000 of them paid $1), we got covered on MixMag, Resident Advisor and many other music related websites.
I got some features already designed that just need to be discussed together and implemented.

I'm thinking about an app to create podcasts simply over the phone.
From what I see there's a bunch of interesting tools to make podcasts, but in the end they all require some sort of setup on both sides, or access to a laptop, or else.
Maybe I'm missing something, but why can't there be an app where you simply call your invitee and record the call that will become the podcast itself? Then can be post-produced, but the core would be to simply record the call.
I want to start making podcasts for my DTC brand interviewing founders of burger joints, but, being a tech guy for me it's easy, on the other side a burger joint guy may not be that tech savvy.
Make sense?
I'm interested in discussing ideas, and collaborations with anyone who'd be interested in working on this with me.

We’re looking for a tech co-founder for a project about vinyl records. The iOS MVP app has been launched, got over thousands of paid downloads, reached second on App Store top paid music app, gathered interest from major magazines about music (Resident Advisor, DJ Mag and many more) and a couple of accelerators. Now we’re looking to add features and improve it to start monetizing. If you’re passionate about vinyl records and have exceptional skills on iOS, Firebase Suite and React, we’d love to discuss.

Yea I agree with surprise effect for sure! I do that too.
But I must say that in multiple occasions using the app both saved me some $ and helped me find some gems that I would have never expected just looking at the cover.
Btw, happy to share a free download code if you want to just give it a try! 9NRRW9AKKXX3
Now it's a simple tool, but we're working to make it a more complete tool for vinyl collectors. So, feedback is always appreciated/needed.

Good point!
So, the app is actually a tool to "find the next gem of your record collection".
We don't want to replace the vinyl experience. We're making easier the process to find and buy cool records.
Now when you are at a flea market (for example) you can only blindly purchase a record because it inspires you, or you know it, or you have to jump from Google to Discogs to YouTube to preview the tracks to see if it worth the money.
With Disco Fm you can preview the record in 2 clicks. If you like what you hear, you buy the record.
Our users are using the app to find records or to catalog their collection.

At the moment you need our app when you are at a record store or a flea market with thousands of records and no turntables to preview them.
Instead of jumping from Google to Discogs and YouTube you open our app, snap a pic of the barcode or search by cat number/release name and we give you the full tracklist with audio and video preview
https://youtu.be/kMG5cim3vis
Happy to share some free download codes if you're on iPhone
