Gemini 4 Argon is a new leader in Pareto-frontier.
Yeah, but I don't think, that is the primary reason.
I am just trying to understand - why Google haven't done and have no plans for it. They have done it for Android and have Gemma models too.

I wonder, why Google don't make Gemini - open weights model?
Considering, Gemini 4 is in the same ballpark as SOTA models, just open source it and kill any competition from openAI and Anthropic, and be market leader.
This will be so good on so many dimensions - buying time for Google to iterate on next model, best for all folks like us, kill funding or destroy valuation of competitors and force them to be open up their model or force them to a create a much superior model than open source Gemini.
Only downside, is revenue loss from Gemini API, which I am not sure is really significant as compared to Google other revenue sources and a part of this can be captured by GCP, as you need to host the model somewhere.

I extensively used Claude till now and just tested Genini 3.1 pro yesterday via AI studio. In gemini cli, they don't offer this, i don't know why?
Taking a second opinion has significantly helped me to design the system better, and it helped me to uncover my own and Claude blindspots.
Also, agree that, it spent and waist a lot of token on web search and many a times get stuck in loop.
Going forward- i will always use all 3 of them. Still my main coding agent is Claude for now.. but happy to see this field evolving so fast and it's easy to switch and use others on same project.
No network effects or lock in for a customer. Great to live in this period of time.

You can exchange your old notes anytime after Dec 30, from a RB branch nearest to you. You just have to give a self declaration for it.

> (If this measure wasn't carefully planned not to affect "friends" of the current administration(look up Adani Group), I would be greatly surprised and will change my opinion about the current Prime Minister) - I agree with you , but nobody knows the truth.
