It's not one step removed, it's 90 steps out of 100 removed, right? The important part here is the consumption of resources, 90% less land/water/energy also means 90% fewer animals that had to die for the product. (Also we could enforce more environmental protection measures while still being able to feed everyone.)

i don’t think it’s going to happen in any case. it depends on what the USA does. if the position is like in the cold war: "this way and no further" china will probably not risk a nuclear war.

if he was smart, then he said nothing that sounds like blackmail. but you could say, for example, that I have to settle the expense of reproducing it and writing it down properly or something similar.

once suppose the polish politician says something that is not allowed in other countries, so for example facebook has to delete it. but in poland it must not be "censored". what should happen then? i think smaller companys will have start geo/ip blocking countries then. great.

agreed, as a developer i don't need an android device to test, just open a simulator and most things will work. on the other hand you cant even compile for ios with a linux/windows pc.

yes it is. someone has to give you a certificate which the users browser accepts. even if its free today.

lets say a simple website which someone uses to display some holiday pictures. why would we need https here, if there is no login or anything like that?

it just adds an extra hurdle for not so tech-savvy users and increases the trend to abolish small private websites.

havnt paid for a book in some time, cause most/all ebooks are overpriced af imo.

And also how can i resell my ebooks? why would i pay the same price as a physical copy then..
