I had the same problem when studying English. I just capped my review/new cards study time to 30 mins per day. Basically if you have too much cards to review your vocabulary hits a "plateau" until your workload becomes manageable again.

Web components are a bit verbose by themselves but used with a library like lit.js you can build a framework agnostic component library. Angular and Vue support WC out of the box and they have a wrapper for React.
I think the only thing missing(or not mature enough right) now is SSR. There are probably libraries other than lit.js that take the pain out of writing WC.
I was skeptical at first but I've seen in production a lit.js/WC component library used with React and Angular successfully in the banking sector and it works surprisingly well.

Not everywhere I assume, my grandfather worked 20 years as a miner in Belgium and his employer left the housing to the city only if they will let the miners stay there for a symbolic some (+-50€). Once the owner died the city immediately tried to change the rent to 500€, but the local miners union fought it and kept the old rent until the union chief died also of old age. There were no one capable of Fighting the legal battle. Basically the city ignored the owner's will to profit from coal miners.

Video games are made by creators and there is an artistic side to it. People get emotionally attached to them and it's hard to remove this positive emotion associated with it, but when developers and editors treat it only as a money machine and disregard everything else it is like breaking up with your s.o. and the love is replaced with an irreversible hatred.
I think Blizzard has definitely lost their special place in most of their hardcore fans. The market has become global but so have the conflicts and whether they like it or not, sometimes they will be forced to pick a side.

They should know better, you can't get away with these kind of shady practices, especially with a fan group that pay attention at what you do.
