I live in Israel. There is fake news being spread about Tel Aviv being destroyed and Israel being hit hard. This is absolutely false. The volume of rockets is way lower than the 12 Day War. In fact, I do the irresponsible thing of not even going to the bomb shelter when the odd siren rings out.

There was a decision made by the security establishment not to allow reporting on Iranian missile hits in order to make it harder for the Iranians to do BDA.

I can't believe that people simply bought into Anthropic's PR messaging. This has nothing to do with "mass surveillance" (which is illegal anyway) or killbots, it's all about Dario wanting to be able to override lawful use:

I think it's quite rich all these people virtue signaling when: (1) Anthropic (and other labs) committed large scale theft of copyrighted materials to train their models. (2) Anthropic collects large swaths of data on its users (3) Dario seemed to have no issue working to help the CCP: https://x.com/ubuto23/status/2027578089371267201

Also, you must understand that if you support Anthropic, then you should be against Open Source models.

it's more like the previous guys were so bad that people said that the guy the media lied to them about from 2015 until 2024 wasn't that bad after all.

- we now see that "bidenomics" was a disaster after the media decided to stop lying about it and blaming the people for not believing "the stats". job numbers revised down massively after it was no longer viable to lie during the election.

- apparently there was no need for a "bipartisan border bill" or for "congress to act" in order to shut down the border as encounters are down 90% now.

people have their panties in a bunch about tariffs, but I don't understand why reciprocal tariffs are so bad.

it appears that people here are happy for things to go south just so that they could shit on trump. how about having a bit more optimism for the future, even if the near term will be a bit shakey?

Can you talk about about performance implications of using WASM?

1. The browser needs to load the whole app before anything else could be done resulting in a slow first load.

2. WASM -> DOM manipulation is slow.

You literally have a "Following" tab where you can have a timeline for only people you care about. You also have both a mute & a block button. Any platform focused on news & politics will have people fighting & insulting each other, learn to deal with it.

Advertisers have left as part of a concerted pressure campaign to bring back censorship. This effort has been coordinated by NGOs that ironically receive funding by the US Gov't as part of their mis/dis/malinformation playbook in order to keep in check populist political movements that may undermine the State Department's interests. As soon as Elon sued GARM, it broke apart, and I bet the Trump admin will target NewsGuard and kill it as well.

I may disagree with people politically, but I would never ask to ban them. Heck, I don't even report people who hurl racist insults at me, I just counter-attack, just like I would in real life.

First of all, a judge just overturned this thing, so I hope you're still laughing. Secondly, if they really paid money for this, they're idiots because InfoWars is meaningless without Alex. He will just start "The Alex Jones Network" and recapture his audience.
