Yes, Elon Musk and Doc Brown are really, really comparable. Great metaphor. Who can forget when Doc Brown famously stole a bunch of government data? Or tried, numerous times, to overthrow democracy? Or bought a heavily used social media site to turn it into a propaganda box?

I don't think "if you can't do it perfectly, always, you shouldn't even try" is a very good argument against nearly anything, and it certainly isn't engaging with the substance of the discussion.

Do you think no one else was shoplifting? Feels like who was arrested for it and those who were responsible for most of the actual shoplifting, punished or not, may not be the same groups, and using one as if it's directly correlated, without any evidence, is quite silly.

What does this mean? That they're able to scratch through existence on a minimum wage salary (or whatever) may be "quite smart" or it may be "meager survival". I don't think there's any inherent connection to anything, here, and it feels hand-wavy.
